Begin dribbling the ball with your strong hand. With your free hand, toss the ball underhand to your self, then snatch it over hand. Repeat for 40 seconds.
Weak Hand Flip Toss
Begin dribbling the ball with your weak hand. With your free hand, toss the ball underhand to your self, then snatch it over hand. Repeat for 40 seconds.
Partner Opposite Hand Toss
With a partner or coach, dribble in place. Your partner then throws the tennis ball towards your free hand. Snatch over hand, and throw back underhand. Repeat for 1-2 minutes
Crossover Toss
With a partner or coach, dribble in place. Your partner then tosses the tennis ball at your dribbling hand, react to the toss, by quickly crossing over and snatching the tennis ball. Repeat for 1-2 minutes
Partner Mobile Side Toss
With a partner or coach, jog parallel up the length of the court. The player on the right side of the court is dribbling with their right hand, and the player on the left side is dribbling with their left. Toss a tennis ball back and forth while on the move. Once you reach the opposite baseline, switch hands, and repeat going back to the starting baseline.
Partner Mobile Crossover Front Toss
With a coach or a partner, vary as many crossovers as possible while advancing to half court. Your partner will throw the tennis ball at your dribbling hand, and you must quickly cross over and snatch it. Once you reach half court repeat, moving backwards towards the baseline.
T-Drill
Have a coach or partner stand about 10-15 feet in front of you, holding two tennis balls in each hand. Start dribbling in place until the coach drops one of the balls to the ground. You must have your inside hand free, if the basketball happens to be dribbling with your inside hand, quickly cross over. Dribble outside of the coach’s frame and snatch the tennis ball before it bounces twice.
Curry Drill
With a partner, dribble in place with your back just in front of a wall. Have your partner toss the tennis ball off of the wall. The goal is to catch the tennis ball before it hits the ground. (ADVANCED: Crossover as soon as your partner tosses the tennis ball and catch before it hits the ground).
